Southland Conference Pitcher of the Week Release
FRISCO, Texas -- Ladyjack pitcher Kassidy Wilbur has once again been recognized by the league office as the conference Pitcher of the Week for Week 11 of the 2021 campaign, per a release from the conference office on Monday afternoon. Wilbur, a junior, earns her third such accolade this season and second in a row, having been selected for it last week as well.
Wilbur's selection comes as a result of a weekend where she picked up three more wins to further her Division I leading total of 23 wins, helping SFA sweep its sixth straight league series. The Bridge City, Texas native compiled a 0.56 ERA across two starts and a relief appearance, twirling two complete game shutouts and striking out 14 batters across 16.1 innings of work. She held Northwestern State to a .140 batting average against and surrendered just eight hits in the three appearances.
