HOUSTON, Texas -- The SFA Lumberjack soccer team got a late winner from midfielder Destiny Davis to snap a three game skid and get back into the win column with a 1-0 victory over HBU on Sunday. The 'Jacks move to 7-5-2 on the season and 5-3-0 in the league standings with the result, which also evened their home record to 4-4 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After the two sides battled to a scoreless draw at the halftime intermission with five total shots combined between them, the second half saw a resurgent offensive from both sides, as SFA totaled six shots in the half and the hosts, seven. In the 78th minute, Caylon McMillan found Davis with a pass and Davis' goal gave SFA the go-ahead score. HBU tallied two shots in the remaining twelve minutes of play, but neither challenged Madeline Talbot in goal, preserving the final score.

Katelyn Termini totaled three shots (two on goal) to lead SFA, while Talbot made two saves in 90 minutes between the sticks to preserve the shutout in goal.
