The Stephen F. Austin volleyball team will kick off the NIVC tournament with a home match against Jackson State on Friday, December 3rd at 6:30 p.m. The winner of the match will take on the Arkansas Razorbacks the following day at 6:30 p.m., also in Nacogdoches.
The Ladyjacks head into the tournament with an 18-9 record (8-5 WAC) with plenty to prove. The home-court advantage for the 'Jacks will prove to be a huge factor as they finished the regular season with a 10-2 record inside of Shelton Gymnasium.
Jackson State is coming off their second-straight SWAC regular-season title with a 15-1 conference record. They were one set away from claiming the SWAC tournament title as well against Florida A&M. They come to Nacogdoches with a 4-3 away record on the season.
Arkansas will await the winner as they make their second trip to Nacogdoches this season, winning the first matchup against the 'Jacks by a score of 3-1 in September. The Razorbacks finished the season with a 19-10 record (10-8 SEC).
