Kriesel Racks Up 11 Strikeouts in SFA's 3-1 Victory Over Kent State

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Senior Ashley Kriesel had everything working on Saturday, striking out 11 Kent State hitters over seven innings of work to help lead the SFA Ladyjacks past the Golden Flashes 3-1. In addition to her 11 strikeouts, Kriesel (3-0) tossed seven innings, giving up one run on two hits and walking five for SFA (5-1).
Pinch hitter Mackenzie Bennett led the way offensively for the Ladyjacks, providing a pinch-hit three-run homer run to give SFA all the offense it needed in support of Kriesel.
In the second game of the day, SFA lost to host UTA by an 11-3 score.
