
Ladyjacks Collect 4-0 Shutout Win over Grambling State

SFA ends three-match skid with second shutout victory of the year
RUSTON, La. - Putting an end to a three-match losing skid, the SFA tennis team scored an emphatic 4-0 victory over Grambling State early Saturday afternoon at the Louisiana Tech Tennis Complex.
The match, SFA's first of three in two days, featured a clean sweep in doubles action and three singles wins.
DOUBLES
• Getting things started on the right foot, SFA won all three doubles matches to lock down the doubles point.
• On the number-two line, Kyndall Misak and Nida Kamal won their second-straight match by notching a 6-0 shutout victory over Keren Happuch Muswere and Tanyaradzwa MaGunje.
• The top-line match saw Kaja Ljubic and Gabi Guilarte surrender only two games to Bryttish Burts and Imperia Martinez in their 6-2 triumph.
• Armelle Cerdan and Darinka Tiboldi completed the clean sweep in tandem play by collecting a 6-2 victory over Idah Longwe and Danna Galeano.
SINGLES
• Needing just three more points to put the finishing touches on their second shutout victory of the season, the Ladyjacks saw their first, second and third-flight singles players excel.
• Cerdan posted the most lopsided win of single play, earning a 6-3, 6-1 result over Longwe on line three.
• In number-one singles play, Guilarte won her fifth singles match of the season via a 6-1, 6-4 result over Burts.
• Tiboldi ran her winning streak in singles play to three matches with a 6-3, 6-3 win on the second line.
