Bizzell’s Pole Vault Win Highlights Competition at Aggie Twilight Meet

COLLEGE STATION, Texas-- The SFA Track and Field team competed in its final tune up meet before the Southland Conference Indoor championships in the Aggie Twilight Meet on Saturday. Several SFA athletes had quality performances, including a new personal best by pole-vaulter Kaylee Bizzell.

SFA EVENT WINNERS
• Kayle Bizzell took first in the women's pole vault at 4.18m

TOP EIGHT PERFORMERS
• Madison and Allison Compass ran to second and third place finishes in the women's 400m dash, respectively. Daija Carr finished sixth in the event as well.
• Dominique Jackson took eighth in the women's 60m hurdles.
• The women's 4x400 relay of Imani Nave, Madison Compass, Jackson and Cayla Burch took second in the event.
• Mahlon Dawson took fourth in the women's high jump, While Kadejah Wilson finished sixth and freshman Abi Toops took seventh.
• Aolani Harris took third in the women's long jump, while Wilson took fourth and Kariyah Lanehart finished fifth.
• Mallory Dotson finished third in the women's shot put, while Avery Ellis-Byerly took fifth.
ª Bellodgia Roberson finished fifth in the weight throw, while Dotson took seventh and Maggie Okul came in at eighth.
• Erick Rotich took fifth in the men's mile run.
• Jordan Washington took third in the men's 60m hurdles., followed by Tyji Yulee in fifth and Noah Berney in sixth.
• Berney also finished third in the men's high jump, while teammate JaShuan Cook took sixth.
• Tyler Stafford took sixth in the men's vault with a mark of 4.79m
• Bradley Beatty took fifth in the men's long jump, followed by Tanner Parks in sixth.
• Kevin Steward finished fourth in the men's shot put.
• Trenton Bridges took fifth in the men's weight throw.

PERSONAL BESTS
• Ashton Callahan tied his PR in the 60m hurdles with a time of 6.86
• Madison Compass set a new PR in the 400m (57.88)
• Bellodgia Roberson's mark of 15.95 in the women's weight throw was a new personal best.
• Dawson's high jump tied her personal best.
• Kadejah Wilson set a new PR in the long jump with a mark of 5.50m.
• Steward's mark in the shot put was a personal best.
• Beatty's mark in the long jump was a new PR.
• Berney, Beatty and Yulee all hit new PRs in the 60m hurdles.
