NACOGDOCHES, TX -- The SFA men's basketball team got a 69-point performance from the bench on the way to an 114-49 victory over the Arlington Baptist Patriots at home Monday.
SFA's overall record moved to 7-1 following the win.
The 'Jacks had six players score in double figures, led by Cameron Johnson, who had 22 points and five steals. Roti Ware tacked on 18 points and three steals and Sama'Zha Hart helped out with 17 points, seven rebounds and two steals off of the bench.
SFA shared the ball well in Monday's game, racking up 21 assists on 46 made field goals. Individually, David Kachelries led the way for the 'Jacks with seven assists.
SFA forced 37 Arlington Baptist turnovers while committing 18 themselves in Monday's game. The 'Jacks turned those takeaways into 58 points on the other end of the floor. Johnson led the way individually with five steals.

GAME SUMMARY
After jumping out to a 13-8 advantage, SFA went on a 19-0 run with 13:35 left in the first half, culminating in a three from Oddyst Walker, to increase its lead to 32-8. The 'Jacks then added 17 points to that lead by the end of the period and entered halftime with a 58-17 advantage. SFA did most of its first half damage in the paint, scoring 44 of its 58 points close to the basket.
Following intermission, SFA kept widening that lead, expanding it to 73-22 before going on a 10-0 run, finished off by Johnson's layup, to grow the lead to 83-22 with 13:09 to go in the contest. The 'Jacks kept expanding the margin and coasted the rest of the way for the 114-49 win. SFA took care of business in the paint, recording 38 of its 56 points in the lane.
