
Polivka, Dickey Named To TCL All-Star Team

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack baseball signee Eric Polivka and current outfielder Matthew Dickey will play for the North All-Stars in tonight's Texas Collegiate League All-Star Game at Cellucor Field in Bryan, Texas. First pitch is set for 7:35 p.m.
Polivka, a pitcher for the Brazos Valley Bombers, holds a 1-0 record with a 0.48 ERA across 17.2 innings in seven appearances. The incoming Tyler Junior College transfer has fanned 15 batters and scattered just six hits across the summer. Polivka spent two seasons at TJCC.
Dickey, who set the TCL stolen base record (40) and started in the All-Star Game last summer, will be a reserve outfielder for the North. A member of the East Texas Pump Jacks, Dickey is hitting .231 with one double, three triples, six RBI and 16 runs scored. Dickey has also swiped 17 bags and walked 14 times.
