2013 Aggie Classic Tournament Central For Stats - Audio - Video

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks softball team continues their challenging early-season schedule this weekend at the Aggie Classic hosted by Texas A&M University. SFA (2-4) will play No. 23 North Carolina and Pittsburgh twice, and No. 11 Texas A&M once. 

SFA's first game is on Friday morning at 10 a.m. (CT) against North Carolina, and will then play the Panthers at 12:15 p.m. Saturday features the same two teams for the Ladyjacks just in opposite order. SFA will play Pittsburgh at 10 a.m. followed by UNC at 12:15 p.m. The Ladyjacks conclude the tournament on Sunday with a 12:15 p.m. contest against the Aggies.

The Ladyjacks are coming off a 6-0 loss to No. 6 Texas on Wednesday. SFA managed five hits in the contest but left six runners on base. Junior Cadie Weaver is leading SFA in hitting, batting .368 with two home runs and three RBI's. Junior Elizabeth Arana (.313) and sophomore Shalie Day (.313) also have five hits apiece. In the circle Carlie Thomas leads the Ladyjacks with a 3.38 ERA and two victories and 28 strikeouts.
