
Ladyjacks To Face Warhawks Wednesday

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks (7-14) will play their sixth straight game in the Bayou State this Wednesday when they travel to Louisiana-Monroe to face the Warhawks at 5 p.m.
SFA just wrapped up play at the Ragin' Cajun Invitational where they went 2-3, with both of their wins coming against Southland Conference foes (Nicholls State and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi). The Ladyjacks also dropped two games to Kentucky and lost 14-3 against No. 12 Louisiana-Lafayette.
SFA got a big weekend from Elizabeth Arana, who now leads the Ladyjacks in batting average (.377), hits (20), homeruns (3) and RBI's (13).
ULM (11-7) is coming off a 3-1 weekend at the Northwestern State Tournament in which they beat Southern twice and split two games against Northwestern State. The Warhawks are led by freshman first baseman Alexis Cacioppo, who leads the team with a .438 batting average, 21 hits, three homeruns and 13 RBI.
The Ladyjacks will be back at home this weekend when they host McNeese State in the conference opening series, starting Friday at 4 p.m. SFA will also play the Cowgirls Saturday at 1 p.m.
