Lamar Series History/Scouting Report: The Ladyjacks are a perfect 5-0 all-time against Lamar, which includes a 1-0 victory in Beaumont last year. The Lady Cardinals are in the midst of a four-game winning streak entering play this Friday at Oral Roberts. Sophomore Kristin Bos has also put together a solid season with eight goals and 18 points.
Louw On Cusp Of History: Senior midfielder Kylie Louw is now just one point away from becoming the all-time points leader in SFA history. Last Sunday Louw tied Amanda Alders as the all-time points leader with her 90th and 91st points of her career with a goal and a assist against the Cowgirls. Louw is currently fourth in the nation in total assists (10) and second in the country in APG (0.71).
Ladyjacks In The Polls: For a second consecutive week the Ladyjacks are ranked 8th in the NSCAA Central Poll, ahead of both Oklahoma State (9th) and Memphis (10th). The newest RPI rankings were also released on Monday and SFA comes in at No. 45, the highest ranking in SFA history.
Blank Check: SFA picked up their nation-leading 12th shutout last Sunday at McNeese State and are now just one shutout shy of tying last year's school record 13 shutouts. Only Florida State, Marquette and Georgetown have as many shutouts as the Ladyjacks. SFA is also second in the nation in shutout percentage (.800), trailing only Florida State (.857). Ladyjacks' goalkeeper Lacey Lee is ranked second in the country in both GAA (.258) and Save Percentage (.925).
#SouthlandStrong: The Ladyjacks have continued their Southland Conference dominance with a 5-0 start this season. Home Is Where The Wins Are: The Ladyjacks have now won 20 straight home contests dating back to 2009 with their last loss coming against UTEP on Sept. 3, 2010 (2-1 OT). Nine Wins: With their win over Oral Roberts on 9/30/12, SFA clinched yet another season with at least nine wins and another winning season. It marked the 10th consecutive season for the Ladyjacks to pick up at least nine victories and was the program's ninth straight winning season. The last time an SFA squad failed to reach the nine-win plateau was 2002, also the last time the Ladyjacks posted a losing season (7-9-4).
Title Town: The SFA women's soccer program has brought an unprecedented six Southland Conference regular-season championships back to Nacogdoches. That total is nearly half of the 14 possible regular-season titles in SLC Soccer history.
