NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack softball team will try to halt a four-game losing streak Wednesday when it hosts Houston Baptist. The game against the Huskies is set for a 3 p.m. start from SFA Field.
The Ladyjacks come into the contest with an 8-25 overall record after being swept in a three-game series against McNeese State over the weekend. SFA has lost four straight, dating to a loss at ULM on March 23.
In a prior meeting with Houston Baptist on the road, the Huskies took a 2-0 win over SFA on the strength of a two-run double by Kate Maddock.
Since that game, Houston Baptist (22-17) has gone 17-13. Going into Tuesday's game at Houston, the Huskies had dropped three of their last four games, including a doubleheader sweep at the hands of Southland Conference foe UTSA.
