
Bobcats Record Second Sweep Of SFA

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Ladyjacks fell victim to Texas State, 3-0 (25-17, 25-20, 25-14) on Thursday, marking the 10th consecutive win of the season for the Bobcats at Strahan Coliseum.
SFA (12-14, 5-6 SLC) got seven kills and four blocks from Sabrina Burns, but the Bobcats (19-6, 10-1 SLC) rejected 12 shots as a team and hit .372 for the match, led by 16 kills from Lindy DeGeare.
The Ladyjacks, for the second straight match against the Bobcats, struggled to muster anything offensively, hitting just .078 for the match and committing 21 attack errors on the night. Madison Hanlan picked up 12 digs and Paige Holland had 25 assists, but only four SFA hitters finished with at least five kills for the night.
Texas State had 16 kills apiece in both the first and third sets, and 13 in the middle frame, while SFA only managed as much as 11 apiece in both the second and third sets.
The Ladyjacks will try and even its league record on Saturday afternoon and sweep the season series with UT-Arlington when they take on the Mavericks at Texas Hall at 2:00 p.m.
