NACOGDOCHES - For the second-straight game the Ladyjacks have received two goals from senior Sophia Pantazis and sophomore Shahin Pabani, as SFA pounded Southeastern Louisiana, 5-0, Sunday afternoon at the SFA Intramural Complex. The Ladyjacks improve to 5-3-1 on the season and a perfect 3-0-0 in Southland Conference play.
Pabani netted the games first goal at 15:51 in the first half and the blowout was on from there. Junior Kim Gray added to the Ladyjacks lead less than seven minutes later when she scored off a corner kick. Pabani netted her second goal right before halftime to give SFA a 3-0 lead at intermission. It was all Pantazis in the second half as she scored a goal in the 48th minute of the game and one in the 87th minute of the game.
The SFA defense stifled the Lady Lions allowing 10 shots, only four of which were on goal. Junior goalkeeper Natascia Michalezki went the distance for the Ladyjacks, recording four saves in the shutout victory.
The Ladyjacks will be back in action Friday Oct. 1st when they travel to Louisiana-Monroe to take on the Lady Indians. The game against ULM is slated to begin at 7 p.m.
