
Ladyjacks Shutout Louisiana-Monroe

MONROE, LA. - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack soccer team remained undefeated Friday night as they pounded Louisiana-Monroe, 6-0. The Ladyjacks are now 6-3-1 (.650) on the season and a perfect 4-0-0 on Southland Conference play.
Senior Sophia Pantazis remains of fire for SFA as she once again scored two goals to lead SFA. Pantazis now has 9 goals on the season. But Pantazis wasn't the only Ladyjack who netted two, senior Christie Mestayer also added a pair in for the Ladyjacks. Freshman Kristel Lindsey scored fourth goal of the season in the 76th minute of action. Sophomore Mary Surkein also scored a goal in the victorious effort.
Junior Natascia Michalezki went the distance for SFA recording 11 saves in the shutout victory.
The Ladyjacks return to action Sunday when they travel to Natchitoches, La., to face Northwestern State. The game against the Lady Demons is set to begin at 1 p.m.
