NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack soccer team made quick work of Tulsa Sunday afternoon recording a 4-2 victory. With the win, the Ladyjacks improve to 2-3-1 (.417) on the season and put and end to their four-game winless streak.
Senior Sophia Pantazis gave SFA the early lead with her goal in the 12th minute of action. Sophomore Shahin Pabani added to the Ladyjacks lead when she netted the game's second goal on an indirect kick. Tulsa cut the lead to one right before halftime but the Ladyjacks came right back on the offensive in the second half scoring two goals in the first 14 minutes of the half, including one by freshman Kristel Lindsey and Pabani's second of the afternoon.
The four goals would be more than enough offense for junior goalkeeper Natascia Michalezki who played 75:20, recording five saves and surrendering only one goal.
The Ladyjacks return to action Wednesday when they travel to Lake Charles, La., for a 4 p.m., showdown against McNeese State.
