
'Jacks Drop game Two, 4-3

AUSTIN, Texas -- SFA dropped game two of a non-conference doubleheader to the University of Texas Friday afternoon in Austin by a 4-3 final. The loss runs the 'Jacks losing streak to six straight.
SFA held the 'Horns scoreless for the first four innings before Texas pushed across a pair of runs in the bottom of the fifth inning off starter Nicole Carter. Carter worked 4.2 innings giving up two runs on six hits while striking out one. She was touched for a two-run home run in the bottom of the fifth for the only runs allowed.
The 'Jacks came right back in the top of the sixth inning with a three run outburst ignithed by a Ragen Rutherford single. She then moved to second on an error by the catcher and moved to third when Carrie Woydziak singled through the left side. Lee Lara then reached on an error by the second baseman scoring Rutherford. Crista Hargrove then doubled home two runs to give SFA a 3-2 lead.
Texas came back with two runs in the bottom half of the inning off reliever Crissy Autry (3-6). Autry gave up a single to lead off the inning, then walked the second batter before an error by catcher Sarah Stone allowed a run to score. Another error on Stone later in the inning allowed the other run to score to give Texas the 4-3 win.
