
Ladyjacks Fall to Texas-Arlington

NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team lost to Texas-Arlington, 7-0, Tuesday afternoon at the SFA Tennis Courts. The Ladyjacks are now 5-9 (.357) on the season and 2-5 (.286) in SLC play.
The Lady Mavericks took a 1-0 lead sweeping all three doubles matches, to earn the doubles points. UTA held the momentum in singles play winning all six singles matches.
Junior Robin Houston and freshman Laura Harrison battled tough at the Nos. 1 and 2 singles spots, respectively, but lost two tough matches. Houston was ousted, 6-2, 7-5, at the No. 1 spot while Harrison bowed out by the score of 7-5, 6-2.
The Ladyjacks return to action Saturday April 3rd, when they travel to Thibodaux, La., to face Nicholls State. The match against the Lady Colonels is slated to begin at 10 a.m.
