NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team earned its fourth victory of the season in dominating fashion Wednesday afternoon. The Ladyjacks beat UT-Tyler, 6-0, at the SFA Tennis Courts to improve to 4-7 (.364) on the season.
The Ladyjacks established dominance in the doubles play and won the doubles point by outscoring UT-Tyler, 24-3. The Ladyjacks held that momentum in singles play when freshman Lauren Nowicki defeated UTT's Connie Gleghorn, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 1 singles. Sophomore Megan Langston added to the SFA lead when she earned a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles. SFA won the final three singles matches of the day to earn its fourth victory of the season.
The Ladyjacks return to action Saturday when they host McNeese State. The match against the Cowgirls is slated to begin at 2 p.m., from the SFA Tennis Courts.
