Softball Team Works On Teamwork At Retreat

Members of the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack softball team recently spent two days at the Piney Woods Conservation Center near Broaddus for a team-building and leadership workshop. Every member of the team and coaching staff took part in the team-building activities on the ropes course at the center.
The purpose of the two day event was to build and strengthen bonds between players and coaches and to better acquaint members of the team with the newcomers.
The team began workouts Jan. 7 following the retreat and continues to work toward the season opener Jan. 30 at Arizona State.
The 'Jacks will host an alumni game Saturday, Jan. 24th at 1:00 p.m. at the Coy Sims Softball Complex in Nacogdoches. Any interested former player is welcome to attend and should contact Meryl McGuire at (936) 468-4011 if they plan to attend.
