Ladyjacks Record Shutout Victory

SHREVEPORT, La. - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack soccer team picked up its second-straight victory with a 2-0 decision over Centenary Sunday afternoon. The Ladyjacks are now 2-2 (.500) on the season.
Freshman Shahin Pabani (Calgary, Alberta) gave SFA the early advantage with her first-career goal, which came at the 19:33 mark of the first half. Junior Sarah Johnson (Fort Worth, Texas) was credited with the assist. Sophomore goalkeeper Natascia Michalezki (Calgary, Alberta) made the lead stand throughout the rest of the half, recording four first-half saves. She finished the game with seven saves.
Junior Kendra Cannon (Kilgore, Texas) added to the Ladyjacks' lead when she netted her second goal of the season. Cannon's goal came nine minutes into the second half on a pass from sophomore Sara Hernandez (Tyler, Texas).
The Ladyjacks return to action Wednesday when they return home to face North Texas. The game is slated to begin at 7 p.m. at the SFA Intramural Complex.
