
Ladyjacks Fall to Louisiana-Monroe

NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team lost a tough match to Louisiana-Monroe, 6-1, Saturday afternoon. The Ladyjacks are now 3-6 (.333) on the season and 0-2 in Southland Conference play.
The Lady Indians swept all three doubles matches to take an early 1-0 lead. SFA battled right back to tie the match at 1-1, behind freshman Megan Langston's 6-3, 6-1, victory over ULM's Anna Yenyk at No. 6 singles. Senior Gennan Houston battled the Lady Indians Dataliya Ostrouska tough at No. 2 singles, but dropped the match, 6-3, 6-7, (7-5). Leading 2-1, ULM rattled off four straight singles wins to close out the match.
SFA returns to the court Sunday to take on Northwestern State. The match is slated to begin at 10 a.m.
