LAKE CHARLES, La. - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team fell to McNeese State, 6-1, Sunday afternoon in Lake Charles. The Ladyjacks are now 3-9 (.250) overall and 0-5 in the Southland Conference play.
MSU swept all three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead. The Ladyjacks fought right back to tie the match at 1-1 after senior Christine Huynh defeated the Cowgirls Debora Martero, 6-4, 6-4, at No. 4 singles. But the Cowgirls didn't lose another singles match to pick up the victory.
SFA returns to action Saturday April 5 when they travel to San Marcos, Texas, to take on Southwest Texas. The match against the Bobcats is slated to begin at 10 a.m.
