SFA Softball Has Success In Classroom

Nine members of the SFA softball team earned Dean's List honors for the recently completed fall semester at the university. To qualify for the Dean's List, a student must earn at least a 3.0 GPA for the semester.
Included among the nine Dean's List students were seven returners and three newcomers to the team for the coming year.
Nine of the 21 student-athletes on the current roster were included on the honor roll for the semester.
The returners earning Dean's List honors include:
Jaime Brown - Junior - Outfielder - Houston Devin Cobb - Senior - Pitcher - Pasadena Brooke Chandler Junior - Infielder - Shreveport, La. Crista Hargrove - Freshman (Redshirt) - Infielder - Midland Kacie Rees - Sophomore - Infielder - Big Bear City, Calif. Sarah Stone - Sophomore - Catcher - Pasadena Shea Whiteside - Sophomore - Outfielder - Center
Newcomers on the list were:
Kristen Exline - Freshman - Infielder - Auburn, Calif. Carrie Woydziak - Freshman - Outielder - Round Rock
The 'Jacks open the season Feb. 1 at Texas Southern.
