The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack softball team fell to 12-10 on the season after dropping both ends of a doubleheader yesterday in College Station. SFA managed six hits off Aggie pitching in the first game, but could not push a run across against the Aggies.
Kym Kling (0-3) allowed a run in the first inning, and that proved to be all the Aggies would need, as they moved to the 2-0 win.
In the second game, the SFA bats were again held in check by strong A&M pitching as the Aggies scattered four hits en route to the 2-0 blanking. P Devin Cobb (5-3) allowed only five Aggie hits, but A&M pushed across a pair of runs to drop SFA.
The Ladyjacks return to the road this weekend as they travel to San Marcos to take on Southwest Texas. The Bobcats are currently ranked in the top 25 in the nation. SFA and SWT will meet for a 3:00 p.m. doubleheader Saturday and a single game Sunday at 1:00.
