Moffett Earns SLC Hitter Of The Week Honors

Brazoria junior Ashley Moffett was named the Southland Conference Hitter of the Week this past week after hitting .818 in five Ladyjack wins. Moffett was 9-for-11 at the plate in SFA wins over Texas Southern and a conference opening sweep of Sam Houston.
Included among her nine hits were four doubles. Moffett also drove in three runs and had five runs scored. She also drew seven bases on balls during the week for an incredible on base percentage of .889.
The preseason All-SLC third baseman raised her season batting average to .408, and leads the team with six doubles.
Moffett and the Ladyjacks return to action this weekend as they host UL-Monroe in an SLC doubleheader Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
