SFA fell to 6-10 for the season and 3-7 in Southland Conference play Monday following a 70-59 loss to Ut-Arlington in Nacogdoches.
Skip Jackson led all scorers in the game with 31 points, but it wasn't enough as the Mavericks evened their SLC slate at 5-5 with the win. Jackson was 12 of 22 from the field and 5 of 10 on three pointers for the night. Ron Banks added 10 points as the only other Lumberjack in double figures. Emanuel Jackson led SFA with 12 rebounds, Mack Callier led UTA with 11.
The Lumberjacks shot only 41% from the field for the game, but only 36% in the first half. The Mavericks built a 15-point halftime lead and stretched that lead to as many as 25 in the second half before the 'Jacks battled back to cut the lead to only nine points with a minute to play.
