Jacks Take Game 1 at UIW

NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Stephen F. Austin overcame a 2-0 deficit with a three-run fourth inning, added an insurance tally in the fifth and used three arms to limit one of the Southland Conference's top offenses and earn a 4-2 victory in game one of the three-game, regular season-concluding series with Incarnate Word on Friday afternoon from Sullivan Field.
The Jacks used seven hits from seven different players which included RBI singles from Juan Cantua and Coby DeJesus in the fourth. SFA used a fielder's choice RBI by Julian Swift in the fifth for the Jacks' fourth run. Swift scored on a passed ball in the fourth to open scoring.
Brennan Greer earned his second win of the season after tossing 3.0 innings in relief facing just two over the minimum as the first arm following Elian Balmaceda's start. The senior went 4.0 frames and scattered five hits, one walk and allowed just two runs, while fanning a pair. Reid Bowyer shut the door over the final two innings allowing just one base hit.
