Lumberjacks Head to Commerce to Face East Texas A&M

SFA looks to rebound from their midweek loss while the Lions are looking to break a 10-game losing skid.
NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin softball team will head to Commerce for a three-game series against the East Texas A&M Lions beginning with a Friday night doubleheader and wrapping up with a single game on Saturday afternoon.
WEEKEND SCHEDULE
• All games will be broadcasted on ESPN+.
• Friday will feature a 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. doubleheader and Saturday will be a single game at 12:00 p.m.
SCOUTING ETAMU
• The Lions enter this weekend with a 6-34 record and are looking to not only break a 10-game losing skid, but they have also been run ruled in their previous five games.
• Tatum Wright leads the team with a .349 average and is tied with KK Cosek for the team lead in hits at 29. Wright also leads the team with 11 homeruns this season and 25 RBIs.
• Layni Kimura and Aaliyah Wilcox lead the team with five doubles each.
• The ETAMU pitching staff has a 9.27 ERA and are led by Madison Kloepper with a 7.24 ERA and she leads the team with 87.0 innings pitched.
• Maddie Muller leads the team with 35 strikeouts in 60.2 inning of work.

• Ellie Vance is 12th in the nation with 60 hits and is the 19th hardest batter in the nation to strikeout.
• Crimson Bryant is ranked 13th in shutouts with four. She is also 84th in the nation with 84 strikeouts.
• Amelia Hatthorn is ranked 55th nationally with a 2.32 ERA. She is also ranked 58th in strikeout-to-walk ratio at 3.43.

• Ellie Vance is tied for the conference lead with 60 hits and third with a .429 batting average.
