Jacks Head to Lake Charles for SLC Tournament

SCHEDULE UPDATE: Due to forecasted rain, SFA's game vs McNeese will be moved up to 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 30th.
NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin softball team will be traveling back to Lake Charles for Bracket Play in the Southland Conference Tournament beginning on Thursday, April 30 at 4:00 p.m.
WHERE TO TUNE IN
• This game will be broadcasted on ESPN+.
• Winner of this game will stay in the winner's bracket and play Friday at 11:00 a.m.
• Loser will head to the consolation bracket to face the loser of Nicholls vs Northwestern State on Friday at 2:00 p.m.
• All games will be slated to start at 11:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m. instead of the originally scheduled 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
SCOUTING MCNEESE
• McNeese enters the weekend with a 35-19 record and a 18-9 conference record.
• Prior to the Cowgirls loss to ranked LSU Tuesday, McNeese was on a nine-game winning streak.
• Kassidy Chance leads the Cowgirls' offense with a .416 batting average and is tied with Rylee Cloud for the team lead with 52 hits.
• Alexis Dibbley leads McNeese with 16 doubles and Cloud leads the team with four triples.
• Cloud also leads the team with 43 RBIs and is closely followed by Maddie Taylor who has 42.
• In the circle, reigning SLC Pitcher of the Week Brookelyn Taylor leads the Cowgirls staff with a 3.22 ERA, 34 appearances, 115.1 innings pitched and 88 strikeouts.
NATIONAL RANKINGS
• Ellie Vance is 6th in the nation with 78 hits and is the 22nd hardest batter in the nation to strikeout.
• Crimson Bryant is ranked 34th in shutouts with four. She is also 97th in the nation with 101 strikeouts.
CONFERENCE RANKINGS
• Ellie Vance is tied for first in the conference with 78 hits and is third with a .426 batting average.
• Malia Jones is third with 10 home runs.
• Jamie Varga is fourth with 30 walks drawn and Malia Jones is tied for fifth with 29 walks drawn.
• Amelia Hatthorn has the fourth best ERA in the conference at 2.74.
• Crimson Bryant has the seventh lowest opposing batting average at .250 and is second with 101 batters struck out.

• The staff for SFA has a third best 3.55 ERA in the conference this season, led by Amelia Hatthorn who has a 2.74 ERA.
• Crimson Bryant is the strikeout queen with 101 on the season including 14 in her Lumberjack debut after transferring from UT Tyler. Bryant leads the team with 109.0 innings pitched.
• Amelia Hatthorn leads the Jacks with 31 appearances and a 10-7 record in 97.0 innings of work.
BOMBS AWAY
• The Jacks have hit 30 homeruns this season.
• Malia Jones leads the team with 10.
• Ella Hill is second on the team with six, three of which she hit during the first day of the Roadrunner Classic and hit the walk-off winner to break SLU's 25-game win streak in the series finale.
• Adelyn Becerra hit two homeruns in the ETAMU series and is third with five homeruns after hitting a three-run blast vs TAMUCC.
• Lilly Bean hit two of her four homeruns this season against PVAMU on March 31.
