Jacks Double Up Alcorn for Wednesday Win
4/15/2026 7:40:00 PM | Baseball
Offensive outburst continues for SFA in second win in as many days
For the third time in two days, Evan Aslaksen left the yard as his three-run shot in the first highlighted the five-run frame and staked starter Hayden Tronson (4.0 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 4 K) to an early advantage. Julian Swift homered in the Jacks' next trip to the plate and an RBI single by Cermodrick Bland in the third put SFA up 7-0 through three.
The fourth and fifth innings were profitable for the Braves who used a three-run fourth and a five-run fifth to cut into the deficit, but the Jacks manufactured a six-run fourth as a pair of outs scored runs before one of Ethan Adkisson's four hits pushed through the right side for an RBI base knock and Swift emptied the bases with a three-run double.
Jackson Benattar doubled in a run in the sixth and Ethan Peña singled up the middle with two outs for the final tally of the afternoon.
Jonathan Valdez earned his first win of the season after tossing two innings of relief, facing the minimum, while striking out two. Ayden Terry and Drew Wenske each did not allow a run in relief stints that sandwiched Valdez's outing.
