SFA will face three opponents in altered schedule due to impending rain.
NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin softball team will head to Stephenville for the Whataburger Invitational hosted by the Tarleton Texans.
SCHEDULE CHANGES
• Friday will feature two games with SFA taking on South Dakota State at 10:00 a.m. then Colgate at 12:30 p.m.
• Saturday will only be a single game against South Dakota State at 2:00 p.m. due to forecasted rain.
• Sunday will now be a true doubleheader against Tarleton at 12 and 2:30 p.m.

SCOUTING SOUTH DAKOTA STATE
• SFA and SDSU played each other twice last weekend at the ETAMU Leadoff last weekend and split the weekend.
• The Jackrabbits enter the weekend with a 6-2 overall record and are coming off a doubleheader sweep against ACU on Wednesday.
• Four SDSU players lead the team with 10 hits, Alivya Bollen leads the team with four doubles and 11 RBIs. Bollen also leads the team in batting average at .500.
• Akayla Barnard leads the Jackrabbits with two home runs. Barnard also leads the team with a 2.55 ERA in 11 innings pitched.
• Madi Mangulis leads SDSU with three wins in the circle and 17.2 innings pitched.

• Colgate enters the weekend with a 2-3 record as they picked up wins against NDSU and UMass in the River City Leadoff hosted by Jacksonville University.
• Nora Megenity leads the team with eight hits and hit .533 last weekend.
• Marina Taveras leads the team with two home runs and is tied for the team lead with four RBIs. She is tied with Izzy Ervin-Agudelo for the RBI team lead.
• Alexa Acker leads the Raiders in the circle with a 3.97 ERA and is second with 12.1 innings pitched.
• Kelcie McGraw leads the team with 13.0 innings pitched and eight strikeouts.

• The home team for this tournament enters the weekend with a perfect 5-0 record after winning all their games at the Runnin' Bulldog Classic hosted by Gardner-Webb.

• Mikayla Wilson follows fox with a .650 clip but leads the team with 13 hits and 11 RBIs.

• Beck and McKean each have seven strikeouts, but Shelby Schultz leads the team with nine strikeouts.
DOMINANT LUMBERJACK DEBUT
• Crimson Bryant struck out 14 St. Bonaventure batters in six-inning effort.
• Bryant's 14 strikeouts are the most by a Lumberjack arm since Kassidy Wilbur sat down 14 Missouri State batters on February 19, 2022.
• She currently leads the Southland conference with 26 strikeouts.
HOT START
• Ellie Vance was named SLC Hitter of the Week after going 10-17 (.588) from the plate, tying the team lead with five RBIs and leads the team with two stolen bases.
• In the game against St. Bonaventure, she went 3-4 with three runs, two RBIs, and a stolen base.
• SFA began the season 4-0 which is their best start since 2020.
• The Lumberjacks have the third best batting average in the SLC, the lowest ERA, the most triples hit and the second most home runs hit.
