SFA Athletics, McWilliams Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing Partner to Recognize East Texas Community Heroes at Basketball Games

NACOGDOCHES, Texas — Stephen F. Austin State University Athletics announced a new partnership with McWilliams Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing to recognize "Community Heroes" throughout the 2025-26 men's and women's basketball seasons at William R. Johnson Coliseum.
Through the partnership, SFA Men's and Women's Basketball will spotlight individuals who make a lasting impact across East Texas—highlighting service, leadership, and everyday acts that strengthen the community.
"McWillams Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing has been a part of the East Texas community for over 50 years, and we are honored to partner with SFA Athletics to recognize those in our community who help make East Texas such an amazing place to live!" said Stacy Dicks.
SFA Athletics will recognize selected honorees during designated home games, including a videoboard feature and in-game acknowledgment on the court, when applicable.
"We're grateful to McWilliams for being a true partner—leveraging their marketing platforms to support our community and embracing the shared responsibility SFA Athletics and McWilliams have in serving East Texas," said Michael McBroom, SFA Director of Athletics.
Community Heroes Nominations
Fans are encouraged to nominate an East Texas "Community Hero," including a veteran or active-duty military member, teacher, law enforcement officer, healthcare professional, or a community member making a positive impact. Submissions should include the nominee's name and a short description explaining why they should be recognized. If selected, the nominee will be honored at a specified SFA men's or women's basketball home game.
