
Ladyjacks Begin Four-Game Homestand Against Cowgirls and Lady Lions

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin women's basketball program returns to the friendly confines of the Sawmill for their next four contests. This week's matchups feature the top-seeded McNeese Cowgirls on Thursday night and the Southeastern Louisiana Lady Lions.
WHERE TO TUNE IN
• Both games will be broadcasted on ESPN+ with Cade Haak on the radio call on Q107.
LAST TIME OUT
• Key Roseby led the team with 16 points, four three-pointers and two steals.
• Kaylinn Kemp scored 12 points and led the team with five assists for her 14th straight game with at least five assists.
• Aziyah Farrier led the team with seven boards and tied for the team lead with two blocks.
• Ashlyn Traylor-Walker scored six points and recorded two blocks as she made her comeback to the court.
SCOUTING MCNEESE
• The Cowgirls come to the Sawmill with a league best 16-4 overall record and a 10-1 SLC record.
• While this roster is different for the Cowgirls from last season, it is not a roster that SFA will be unfamiliar with. Many of the current Cowgirls followed Head Coach Ayla Guzzardo from Southeastern Louisiana who SFA defeated in the SLC Championship Game to secure their NCAA Tournament Bid.
• McNeese is led by Dakota Howard and Arianna Patton who have scored 246 and 202 points respectively.
• The Cowgirls have three players with at least 100 rebounds this season; Lexi Alexander, Howard, and Tyeona Sibley.
• Jalencia Pierre is the facilitator for the Cowgirls as she leads the team with 66 assists.
• Pierre also causes havoc on the defensive side as she is second on the team with 38 steals, trailing Howard who has 50 steals on the season.
• Alexander leads the team with 11 blocks and is the only Cowgirl with double digit blocks.
SCOUTING SLU
• Southeastern Louisiana enters the week with a 2-16 overall record and a 1-10 conference record.
• The Lady Lions are led by Aliyah Collins who has 241 points and averages 13.4 per game. She also leads the team with 50 assists and is tied for the lead in steals with 28.
• Eryn McKinzie leads the Lady Lions with 75 rebounds. No Lady Lion is in double figures for blocks, but McKinzie currently leads the team with seven.
• Natalie Huff is tied with Collins for the team lead in steals.
SERIES HISTORY
• SFA holds a 51-13 series lead over the McNeese Cowgirls and are winners of the past eight matchups. This is the first game between these two programs this season. The Ladyjacks hold a 30-2 home record against the Cowgirls.
• SFA holds a 41-6 series lead over the Southeastern Louisiana Lady Lions and are looking to sweep the season series against the Lions. The Ladyjacks have won the past two matchups against the Lady Lions and have a 21-2 home record against SLU.
MONEY MANIE
• After recording the second most three-pointers in a single season at SFA with 89, Harmanie Dominguez continues to be one of the most prolific shooters from beyond the arc.
• Against New Orleans, Dominguez recorded four three-pointers which officially put her 8th All-Time, passing Stephanie Whitmore. She currently sits at 149 and is two away from passing Chanell Hayes for 7th.
• In the game against HCU, Dominguez passed Katrina Price for 9th in three-pointers made at SFA.
• With her second three-pointer against East Texas A&M, Dominguez passed current teammate Avery Vansickle for the 10th most made three-pointers by a Ladyjack with 127.
• She also drained her 300th career three-pointer against the Lady Lions of SLU.
NATIONAL RANKINGS
• Harmanie Dominguez is 12th in the nation with 3.00 three pointers per game, she is also 13th nationally in made three-pointers with 60.
• Kaylinn Kemp is 16th nationally and 1st in the conference with 5.8 assists per game and 18th nationally with 116 assists. She is also 58th nationally with an 84.6 free throw percentage.
• Aziyah Farrier is 41st nationally and 1st in the conference with 1.75 blocks per game. She also currently leads the conference and ranked 35th nationally with 35 blocks this season.
HIGH FLYING OFFENSE
• The Ladyjacks had a three-game streak of scoring at least 85 points which is the first time this has happened since a seven-game streak during the 2020-21 season.
• SFA averages 76.3 points per game which leads the conference which is 8 points more than second place McNeese. In terms of total points, the Ladyjacks have scored 163 more points than the Cowgirls.
• Three Ladyjacks are ranked in the top 10 in the Southland in points and points per game.
