Lumberjacks at a Glance:
The Lumberjacks ended their four-game homestand with a bang on Tuesday afternoon as they run-ruled the visiting Texas Southern Tigers in a commanding 8-0 win to finish off their homestand with a 3-1 record. Over the course of their homestand, the 'Jacks offense was on full display as they made sure to leave no doubt about any of their three wins as all three wins on the homestand came by way of run-rule. SFA scored 27 runs over their four home games and totaled 38 hits and poured on the extra-base hits as they crushed four home runs and tacked on nine doubles and two triples. The Lumberjack batters put their bodies on the line in the commanding win over the Tigers as they had four different batters hit by a pitch at the plate, for a grand total of five, marking the most hit by pitches by a single team in the Southland this season. The 'Jacks will now look to carry over their newfound bruises and explosive offense into Natchitoches looking to maintain their steady fifth place standing in the Southland.
