
Five Ladyjacks Named to Southland All-Conference Teams

FRISCO, Texas- Five Ladyjacks earned spots on the Southland Tennis All-Conference teams, the conference announced Tuesday morning.
Three SFA singles earned spots on All-SLC First Team on their respective courts. First is Ksenia Mamontova who finished with a 15-2 record as the No. 2 singles. She was undefeated in conference play and tied for the best win percentage in the conference. Mamontova is currently on an 11-game winning streak and has the most wins at No. 2 singles in the conference.
Jemma Cave earned All-SLC First Team as the No. 3 singles after finishing with a 13-3 overall record and a 6-1 record in conference play. She was named SLC Player of the Week on January 28th and finished the season on a four-game win streak.
Sonja Rooth rounds out the First Team selections at the No. 4 singles with a 14-2 overall record and undefeated in conference play. She finished the season on a four-game win streak capped off by the singles point that clinched the match against Northwestern State that secured a share of the regular season title for the Ladyjacks.
At the No. 2 doubles Felicia Back and Sonja Rooth earned a spot on the All-SLC First Team with a 6-2 overall record and undefeated in conference play. The pair has victories over Arkansas State, Nicholls, UNO, UTRGV, Lamar, and Incarnate Word.
The 'Jacks were not done there as one more doubles pair earned the distinction of All-SLC Second Team. Jemma Cave and Ana Paula Chavez were named to All-SLC Second Team as the No. 1 doubles with a 14-2 overall record and an undefeated conference record. Those 14 wins are the second most in the conference by any doubles pair and they finished on an eight-game win streak.
