
Six Lumberjacks Earn Top-Ten Finishes at Michael Johnson Invite

WACO, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Track and Field Team traveled to Waco this past weekend to compete at the Michael Johnson Invite, hosted by Baylor University. Overall, the Lumberjacks had six athletes earn top-10 finishes this weekend.
Jarvis Anderson highlighted the men's side of the competition, as Anderson earned a third-place finish in the 400m hurdles with a time of 50.42. Anderson also notched a top-10 finish in the triple jump with a jump of 15 meters. Teammate Bryson Williams placed fourth in the event, registering a jump of 15.29 meters. Finally, the men's 4x400 meter relay team, consisting of Perry Watkins, Joel Aihia, Johnny Banks III, and Nicolaus Ray, came in tenth with a time of 40.68.
On the women's side, Jamie Richardson and Alondra Loya were the lone women with top-10 finishes. Richardson placed tenth in the high jump with a mark of 1.68 meters, while Loya placed tenth in the hammer with a mark of 51.36 meters.
The Lumberjacks will return to action next weekend when they travel to Houston to take part in the J. Fred Duckett Meet. All action will take place Saturday, April 26th.
