NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin softball team (13-15) finished their four-game homestand with a rematch against the Sam Houston Bearkats (14-15).
In the previous matchup, SFA beat Sam Houston by a score of 1-0, but that would not be the case here as the Bearkats got a run on the board in the first and second innings to take a 2-0 lead. The 'Kats offense exploded for five runs in the third inning to take a commanding 7-0 lead. Eventually, SHSU scored one more in the sixth to enact the run-rule as SFA could not mount a comeback in the bottom of the sixth.
