
‘Jacks Continue their Season Opening Homestand Against TAMU-Texarkana

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin women's basketball program continues their homestand against Texas A&M-Texarkana on Saturday, November 8 at 2:00 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
• SFA secured their first win over Nelson in program history as the 'Jacks win their fifth straight season and home opener.
• Myka Perry led the team in scoring in her Ladyjack debut with a career high 21 points.
• Key Roseby recorded her first double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Roseby also tied for the team lead in steals with four.
• Harmanie Dominguez recorded 12 points, four three-pointers, and six rebounds.
• Cha Gardner was two rebounds short of a double-double with 10 points and eight rebounds.
• Anika Hyland led the 'Jacks by dishing out six assists and recording four steals in her SFA debut.
• SFA recorded 52 points in the paint, 34 points off turnovers, and 36 fast break points.
RETURNING FACES
• SFA will return seven from the 24-25 roster including three starters.
• Ashlyn Traylor-Walker returns for her senior season after being named to the All-SLC Second Team last season while averaging 13.3 points per game and recording 165 assists which is the tenth most in a single season in Ladyjack history.
• Avery Vansickle returns as one of the best three-point shooters in the nation as she finished the season averaging 11.3 points per game while shooting 44.8 percent from beyond the arc, and 86.0 percent from the free throw line.
• Harmanie Dominguez returns as one of the senior leaders on the team after a season where she recorded 89 made three-pointers which is the second most made in a single season by a Ladyjack and was one off of tying Tammara Marion for the record.
• Key Roseby and Cha Gardner return for their sophomore seasons after a successful freshman campaigns. Roseby averaged 8.4 points per game and recorded 173 rebounds and 50 three-pointers while Gardner averaged 5.8 points per game and recorded 138 rebounds.
• The Ladyjacks will see the return of Lydia Cajuste (formerly Cooke-Wiggins) who missed the 2024-25 season due to an injury. She got married this past summer to former SFA Men's Basketball star, AJ Cajuste (2022-24).
• Hope LeMelle will also return for her senior season looking to bounce back from an injury she suffered towards the end of last season.
NEW ADDITIONS
• The 'Jacks added Myka Perry from the transfer portal as a sophomore guard. She played the 2022-23 season at the University of Florida where she played in 24 games and scored 66 points while recording a career high of 17 against Arkansas and recorded two double figure games for the Gators.
• Aziyah Farrier is a freshman guard from Frisco, Texas who was crowned a 5A State Champion in 2024 with current SFA teammate, Key Roseby. Farrier was a dual sport athlete in high school where she excelled in basketball and volleyball.
• Kaylinn Kemp is a freshman guard from Duncanville, Texas. She finished her high school career scoring over 1,000 points and was named to the 11-6A All-District Team three times.
• Talia Vann is a freshman center from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was a two-time state champion at Bethany High School in 2023 and 2024. Vann is the younger sister of Skylar who played at Oklahoma from 2020-2025 and Zya who is currently a sophomore on the Oklahoma women's basketball team.
• The Ladyjacks also added Anika Hyland a freshman guard from New Zealand. She played second at the Tupu League National Team and was named an All-Star and finished second at the U20 Nationals with Tauranga City. Hyland also played for the New Zealand 3x3 U23 World Cup team in 2024 and 2025 while also serving as the travel reserve for the 3x3 Woman's Senior Team.
SERIES HISTORY
• This will be the second matchup against these two programs.
• SFA is 1-0 against TAMU-Texarkana after defeating the Eagles on December 4, 2022 by a score of 113-33 in the Sawmill.
