
Ladyjacks Fly by the Eagles in 76-37 Final

Led by a strong defensive effort featuring 10 team blocks, the Ladyjacks rolled to a decisive 39-point margin of victory.
NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin women's basketball team notched their second victory of the season with a 76-37 final against Texas A&M-Texarkana on Saturday, November 8.
Both sides traded shots, neither able to find the scoreboard until nearly two minutes into the game. Harmanie Dominguez ended the scoring drought with a layup to give SFA a 2-0 lead that they would not let go of for the rest of the game. The Ladyjacks went on a 14-point tear before the Eagles found their first basket five minutes in. SFA went 9-for-17 on field goals, giving the 'Jacks a 25-7 lead to end the first quarter.
The second quarter started with the same fast-paced offense SFA ended the first in, claiming nine of the 17 second-quarter points came from beyond the arc. The 'Jacks let up only seven points in the second quarter, as Anika Hyland and Aziyah Farrier each picked up a block as the 'Jacks entered the half with a 42-14 lead.
In the second half, SFA and the Eagles traded blows in the third quarter, as the 'Jacks connected on just two three-pointers by Key Roseby and Kaylynn Kemp. The Ladyjacks outscored Texas A&M-Texarkana 34-24 in the second half to claim a 76-37 victory, improving to 2-0 on the season.
