Lumberjacks Track and Field Travel to Nevada and Notre Dame for Meets

Notre Dame Invitational
SOUTH BEND, Indiana - The SFA Track and Field team will travel to South Bend, Indiana to take part in the Notre Dame Invitational, hosted by Notre Dame.
Coach Hansen and his squad are excited to take part in this meet, stating, "We were blessed with a unique opportunity to add this meet kind of last minute, and I wanted to put some of our front-end distance folks on a great track and in some great races that provide them an opportunity to jump to the top of the SLC leaderboard. The weather will be really cold outdoors, but the Notre Dame Invite should be hot!"
Riley Elliot and Elkana Kirupto will be racing in South Bend this weekend coming off their impressive showing at the Leonard Hilton Invitational where they placed first and second in the men's mile. Robert Fuelle will also be going to Indiana this week with a lot of momentum, as he placed tenth at the Corky Classic last week in the men's 1,000 meters.
The event will be a two-day event, taking place on January 24th and 25th.
Nevada Invitational and Multis
RENO, Nevada - SFA Track and Field will also be taking a trip to Nevada to compete in the Nevada Invitational and Multis, hosted by the Univesity of Nevada.
SFA will also have athletes in Reno, Nevada this week as six 'Jacks will take part in the Nevada Invitational and Multis. "Our multis are some of the hardest working athletes in the program." said Coach Hansen. "We're very thrilled that they, along with Saga in high jump, will get an opportunity to make their debut at a really cool meet and a brand-new venue out in Reno."
This meet will also be a two-day event, starting Thursday, January 23rd and wrapping up Friday, January 24th.
