NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin volleyball program (8-5) finished up the SFA Volleyball Invitational with a non-conference matchup with the McNeese Cowgirls (4-8).

The first set was tightly contested as neither team held more than a two-point lead until SFA turned on the burners and went on a 7-0 run capped off by a service ace from Caroline Kahle. Both teams were successful in siding out throughout a majority of the set up until the very end of the set where the Ladyjacks went on a 4-2 scoring run to finish out the set with kills from Katherine Holtman, Kyanna Creecy, Jayden Flynn, and Kahle. SFA won the first set by a score of 25-15.

In the second set both teams went on mini three-point runs as SFA held a slim 6-4 lead. McNeese eventually tied the set up at nine. Later in the set, the Ladyjacks went on a 10-2 run as the offense was dominant in the second set with an emphatic 25-16 win.

SFA jumped out to a 4-0 lead then McNeese cut the lead down to one, 4-3. The Ladyjacks went on a nine-point run to take a commanding 17-7 lead. The Cowgirls were unable to catch up to the Ladyjacks who did not take their foot off the gas as they cruised to a 25-14 third set victory and extend their home winning streak to 32 games.

• Izabella Ortiz: nine kills (tied team lead), .615 hitting percentage (led team), five blocks
• Molly Cravens: nine kills (tied team lead), .563 hitting percentage
• Jayden Flynn: 15 assists (led team)
• Camryn Hill: 10 digs (led team), three blocks, three aces (led team)

After the match the SFA Volleyball Invitational All-Tournament Team was announced. Kyanna Creecy was named MVP and was joined on the All-Tournament Team by Molly Cravens and Izabella Ortiz. Boise State's Paige Bartsch and Breanna Mitchel, UTSA's Mia Soerensen, and McNeese's Kendall Osgood were also named to the All-Tournament Team.
