Lumberjacks Fall to Lancers in First Two Games

RIVERSIDE, California- The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks fell to the California Baptist Lancers in both games of today's double header by final scores of 10-0 and 7-0.
Game 1
The Lancers got the scoring started in the bottom of the second inning scoring six runs to take a commanding lead, 6-0. CBU then extended their lead in the bottom of the third inning plating two runs, 8-0. CBU then added two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to make the score 10-0. The Lumberjacks were held scoreless in the loss and the Lancers won by a final score of 10-0 in seven innings.
Lukas Pirko (4-2) took the win on the mound for the Lancers and Caleb Rutledge (1-2) took the loss for the Lumberjacks.
Game 2
The Lancers got the scoring started once again in the bottom of the first inning scoring two runs to take an early lead, 2-0. CBU then quickly extended their lead again in the bottom of the second inning scoring two more runs, 4-0. CBU then added one run in the bottom of the fourth and two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, 7-0. The Lumberjacks were held scoreless and CBU won the second game of the day.
Jacob Wilson (3-4) took the win on the mound for the Lancers and Reid Boyett (0-7) took the loss for the Lumberjacks.
