Lumberjacks Hit the Road to Take on The Tritons

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks travel to La Jolla, California to play a four-game series against the UC San Diego Tritons on March 1st-3rd. Friday the 1st will feature a double header with one game on Saturday the 2nd and one game on Sunday the 3rd. First pitch on Friday is set for 4:00 P.M. CST and 8:00 P.M. CST. Saturday's game will begin at 3:00 P.M. CST and Sunday's game will begin at 2:00 P.M. CST

SFA will play UC San Diego for the first time in program history this weekend.
A Look at SFA
The Lumberjacks currently sit at 3-7 overall. Sophomore utility player Brock Knoerr has started to heat up over the past three games for the 'Jacks. The Rowlett, Texas native has notched four hits in his last three starts. Freshman Colton Griffin continues his hot streak with another hit and two more stolen bases against ULM. Griffin now has 11 total stolen bases. With his two stolen bases against the Warhawks would tie him for first in all of Division-I for total stolen bases.
Jack James also had a bounce back performance for the Lumberjacks on the mound against ULM. The southpaw recorded three innings pitched notching five strikeouts and surrendering two hits.
