SFA Track and Field Travels to Multiple Meets

HOUSTON, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin track and field team traveled to Houston for the second time this season. This time Head Coach Robert Hansen and his squad will be taking part in the Howie Ryan invitational. The Invitational will be hosted by the University of Houston. SFA will also have groups travel to Boston and Arkansas.
SFA is coming off an impressive performance at the Charlie Thomas Invitational in College Station, Texas. The 'Jacks had four first place finishes at the invitational and look to carry their momentum into the later part of the season.
Nathan kapel will look to continue his dominance in his first collegiate season. He has two first-place finishes this season and currently holds the SFA record in the one mile.
SFA's runners and weight throwers have built up their momentum as the season has progressed. The young core of SFA has grabbed a lot of valuable lessons in their meets this season and look to keep improving as the WAC Championships are only a couple weeks away.
The Lumberjacks next opportunity to compete will be on February 9th. SFA will travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas where they will take part in the Tyson Invitational. This will be the 'Jacks second time competing at Arkansas this season.
