Kenya native enjoys spring slate setting new program standards in 800m, 1500m

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – First-year Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack Evaline Chepkoech finished up a record-breaking spring campaign on Saturday night in the West Regional. The native Kenyan finished 23^rd in the 1500m event with a time of 4:26.48. She puts a bow on an outdoor track and field season that saw her break the program records in both the 800m and 1500m events, while being named the Southland Conference's OT&F Newcomer of the Year.
