Mercy Kipchumba will make her first appearance of the season for the Ladyjacks.
Head coach Rob Hansen commented on the women's team prior to the championship saying, "This group of youngsters are eyes wide open and poised for their first championship experiences. Mercy will be making her collegiate debut and she certainly will factor into the individual title competition. Valentine, now healthy is going to be in the mix as well. Our group from 3-6 runners are pivotal in the team success. If they can pack up the way they train, they're going to be formidable as well. Can't wait to see this group compete!"
The men will run a 8k that will start at 9:30 am. The men will look to collect their sixth team championship and their first since 2005. The men will also look to have their first individual champion since Charles Methenge in 2016. Ryan Binskin, Kevin Curry IV, Zephrin Darhan, Riley Elliott, Devon Judelson, Elkana Kipruto, Pablo Lesarri, and Andrew Mullen will all compete for the men.
Head coach Rob Hansen also commented on the men's team saying, "The men have put themselves in position to finish in the top two this weekend at the championship meet. This will be the culmination of months and years of hard work and building. We can't take for granted Elly and his ability to run near the front of the race, but the race will be won and lost with our 2-5 guys and their ability to execute the race plan before them.
