Purple Team Takes Game One of World Series

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin baseball team kicked off their fall World Series yesterday at Pilgrim's Park.
The purple team took game one in the best-of-five series by a final score of 1-0. Cody Templeton picked up the win for the purple team on the mound, throwing six complete shutout innings. Dylan Mulcahy came on in the seventh to close the game for the purple team.
Cooper Schneider drove in the lone run of the game off of an RBI single that proved to be the difference in the game.
The teams will be back in action on October 28th for game two of the series at Pilgrim's Park. First pitch is set for 4:00 pm.
