Lumberjack Basketball Announces 2024-25 Schedule

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Men's Basketball team announced their complete 2024-25 schedule Wednesday afternoon.
SFA will open their 2024-25 campaign at home against the University of Dallas on Monday, November 4th. It's the first of 11 non-conference games. The 'Jacks first road game of the season is a Sunday match-up in Des Moines, Iowa against Drake University on November 10, a rematch from last year at the Caymen Island Classic. The Lumberjacks won 92-68 over the Bulldogs at the Classic.
The Lumberjacks return home to take on Letourneau on Tuesday, November 12th at William R. Johnson Coliseum. SFA will then travel to Jonesboro, Arkansas for a game against the Red Wolves of Arkansas State on Saturday, November 16th.
Following their game against Arkansas State, the Lumberjacks will return home as they host the Axe'em Classic. The tournament will feature four teams including Presbyterian University, Monmouth University, Youngstown State University and SFA. The Lumberjacks first game of the tournament is against Presbyterian on Thursday, November 21st followed by Monmouth on Friday, November 22nd and wrapping up with Youngstown State on Saturday, November 23rd.
SFA will then wrap up their November schedule as they travel to Monroe, Louisiana to play the University of Louisiana Monroe Warhawks (ULM) on Friday, November 29th.
The Lumberjacks will open December with a three-game road stretch. SFA will open their Southland Conference (SLC) schedule in Edinburg, Texas on Thursday, December 5th as they face-off against former Western Athletic Conference (WAC) and now Southland Conference foe University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). The 'Jacks will then head to Corpus Christi, Texas to play Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Saturday, December 7th.
The men resume their non-conference schedule as they travel to Eugene, Oregon to face-off against one of the newest BIG 10 members in the University of Oregon on Sunday, December 15th. It will be the Lumberjacks third time facing the Ducks, all in Eugene, OR.
The Lumberjacks will then round out their non-conference slate at home on Friday, December 20th against Texas Wesleyan University and with a road trip to Abilene, Texas to play former WAC foe Abilene Christian University in a New Year's Eve game on December 31st.
Following the Christmas break, the Lumberjacks will host two home games as they resume their conference schedule against Incarnate Word (UIW) on Saturday, January 4th and Houston Christian University on Monday, January 6th.
SFA then heads to Beaumont, Texas to play Lamar on Saturday, January 11th and return to Nacogdoches to play Southeastern Louisiana on Monday, January 13th.
The Lumberjacks hit the road for a two-game road trip to face-off against Nicholls State on Saturday, January 18th then McNeese State on Monday, January 20th.
SFA will wrap up their January portion of their schedule with a two game homestand starting on Saturday, January 25th against Northwestern State and Monday, January 27th against Texas A&M-Commerce.
The 'Jacks then continue their homestand to start February as they face-off against Lamar on Saturday, February 1st.
SFA will then travel to New Orleans, Louisiana to play the Privateers of the University of New Orleans on Monday, February 3rd.
The Lumberjacks head home to host a two-game home stand against Texas A&M Corpus Christi on Saturday, February 8th followed by UTRGV on Monday, February 10th.
SFA will wrap up their February schedule with a four-game road stretch. The 'Jacks will get under way on Saturday, February 15th against Northwestern State followed by a trip to Texas A&M-Commerce on Monday, February 17th. SFA then heads to San Antonio, Texas for a game against UIW on Saturday, February 22nd finished off with a trip to Houston, Texas to play HCU on Monday, February 24th.
The 'Jacks will finish their 2024-25 schedule with a two-game homestand against Nicholls on Saturday, March 1st then against reigning SLC champion McNeese on Monday, March 3rd.
The Southland Conference tournament will take place in Lake Charles, Louisiana March 9th-12th.
