
Men’s Golf Heads to Alabama for Turtle Point Invite

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin men's golf team travels this weekend to Killen, Alabama competing in the Turtle Point Invite at the Turtle Point Yacht & Country Club. The tournament is being hosted by the University of Northern Alabama.
The tournament will run from Monday, October 14th to Tuesday, October 15th. The men will play 36 holes on Monday followed by 18 holes on Tuesday. The course will be a par 72 and is 7,035 total yards. There will be 14 teams in the tournament including SFA, Western Illinois, Missouri, Alabama, Vanderbilt, Lincoln Memorial, Alabama A&M, West Florida, Samford, Auburn, Montevallo, Wallace State and Jacksonville State.
The 'Jacks will be sending five men to compete including Eyan Edsall, Sam Gargis, Matthew Hewitt, Cameron Hubbard and Zach Robertson. Eyan, Sam and Cameron will be making their third starts of the year for the Lumberjacks while Matthew and Zach will make their second start of the season.
